Employee Culture and Care

Your safety is our top priority

Our Safety Committee is dedicated to improving workplace standards, using statistics and reporting to help prevent injuries. Berts Electric has a Certificate of Recognition from WorkSafe BC, for going above and beyond legal requirements in our health and safety program. We continue to improve the safety standards guiding everything we do, including providing state-of-the-art safety training, back-to-work programs, and regularly updating or adding to our safety policies.

“When I started at Berts Electric I had little experience in the trade and no tools to do the job properly. Berts Electric has provided me with adequate training, tools, guidance, support and have given me responsibilities as I have gained respect among the company. The management team at Berts recognize the individuals who show hard work, positive attitude and dedication and are rewarded by doing so.”

Lifestyle Wellness

Preventing illness and injury through health and nutrition

Electrical job sites — and the work itself — are demanding, which makes it a challenge to maintain a healthy lifestyle. Long work days, constant travel between sites, and limited on-site amenities are major barriers against physical and mental health in our industry. At Berts Electric, we recognize the impact of health and wellness on our team members' safety and performance. That's why we're committed to an eight-hour work day, minimal travel between sites, and providing cooking appliances wherever possible.
